Trip to Michigan

Addilyn and I took a trip to Michigan at the end of August because my brother and sister were going to be there as well. Addi had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, aunt and uncle, and of course grandma and grandpa. She and Ben played great together and would be locked up in the den with the playmobile pirate ship for a long time. While we were there we saw all our family, went to the splash park, got the kids pictures taken, went to Lake Michigan, went out to eat and just had fun hanging out.

Addi was being crazy this night and was signing and saying "all done" in a crazy monster voice.

Addi LOVED the lake and all the sand that came with it!




Ben was in the process of getting potty-trained (successfully this time!) and got Addi even more interested. She always had to go too and a couple of times was actually successful. This is how we found her a couple times!
We met all our family at the park one night for a picnic and Addi was going to town on this watermelon. She hasn't been the biggest fan before but I think having a big piece makes all the difference.

3 little monkeys in the crib! So this time we attempted to have Addilyn and Ben share a room. Addi in the crib and Ben in the bed. Well the first night it was fine because it was late and they were both so tired. However, the next night they had a full on party together. We would go check on them and Addi was out of the crib jumping on the bed with Ben. It was pretty funny! From then on, Ben would go to sleep in my room and then we would move him.
Addi being such a little mom! She would want to help feed Alli, give her her binkie and check her diaper and so on.
