Addilyn Update

Since I have been doing a monthly update for Sadie, I feel like Addi hasn't gotten much attention. So here we go...I can't believe how old Addilyn is getting.  This year she started Sunbeams at church and loves it!  She is a social little butterfly and loves her weekly play-groups with friends.  She is always asking when she can go to real school too.  We play pretend school at home and she just soaks everything up.  She often will then go around calling me "teacher".  She has known her letters forever but is finally learning most of her sounds.  She can tell you what a lot of words start with too.  She knows her numbers and can count to 20.  She loves counting objects and I am amazed at how she can keep track of them.  She really likes clocks and is often asking what time it is.  She is still very into "projects" and loves to color.  She is starting to draw people and color in the lines.  She loves games and would play all day if she could.  She also loves to read and go to the library to get books.  She loves anything pink, especially the Pinkalicous books!  She also loves to dress-up and loves all princess things.  Her latest fascination is ballerinas.  She loves dancing around and loves to pretend to be a ballerina.  She has a great imagination and plays great by herself.  She no longer naps (maybe one every 2 weeks), but has quiet time in her room for a couple hours every afternoon.  She is so sweet and loves to compliment others.  Almost every dinner she tells me "thanks for making a delicious dinner".  She always tells us she loves us too.  She loves Sadie and loves being the big sister.  She is very helpful too. She is in charge of setting the table and emptying the silverware.  She thinks "staying-up" is the greatest thing ever and loves Monday night Family Home Evenings.  She is great at saying prayers and loves singing songs.  She often makes up her own too. We sure love you Addilyn!

Here are some pictures from recently...

Before her first real hair-cut (I have trimmed it but have never taken her to an actual place)

After...it looks much better!
Being a ballerina

She wanted some ballet shoes so bad that Darrin whipped some up with socks and duck-tape.  She thinks they are great!
Uncle J.J. came for a long weekend over President's Day.  Addilyn was in heaven.  She loves him and was so sad to see him go.

Swim lessons...she really improved!

 First time bowling!

We went up to Winter Park to go tubing with Abby and Connor.  They had so much fun!
